Phenocrysts show deformation, developing twins and cracks. Olivine grains have a thin rim (Figs. 2 and 3) of iddingsite (reddish border). Pyroxene is pale brown and presents some plagioclase inclusions. The matrix is formed by tabular euhedral plagioclase and
