The slowly enlarging clump is composed of hastate, hairy green leaves that give a bold effect in the garden. While Salvia koyamae will grow in the morning sun, it prefers a shady woodland setting. The clumps are adorned with terminal spikes of soft yellow tubular flowers that just top the foliage from late summer through fall great in a mass
